Monica Talevi leads the STEM Learning and Inspiration Unit of the ESA Education Office, where she sets the strategy for, coordinates and implements the school-age education activities of the Agency. Astrophysicist by academic background, she is a strong advocate of the importance of innovative science and technical education – starting from a very early age – to build an active citizenship attitude in the young generation, where critical and autonomous thinking, and sustainability values, are at the core of their path to adulthood and to the professions of the future.
