A. What data do we collect?

Portugal Space collects the following data:

• Personal identification information (Name, email address, country of origin)
• The company you work for and the position you hold in said company

B. How we collect your data

You directly provide Portugal Space with all of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:

• Register online for any of our services
• Contact us directly with an inquiry

C. How we use your data

Portugal Space collects your data so that we can:

• Help you with your participation in our events
• Email you with information about news and events that we organise

Portugal Space does not share your information.

D. How we store your data

Portugal Space guarantees that all measures are taken (through firewalls, personal passwords and limited access to files) to ensure that your data is protected.

Data storage and protection is managed internally by Portugal Space.

Portugal Space will keep your contact and professional data so long as your email is active, or until you have asked us to delete your data.

E. Data sharing

In order to optimise the organisation of our conferences, and your ability to receive information about them, we may call – for certain activities – upon third parties specialised in their field (particularly communication, website management, and activities on social media).

We ensure that the data and privacy policies of our subcontractors are in line with our own.

Portugal Space would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

The right to access – You have the right to request Portugal Space for copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.

The right to rectification – You have the right to request that Portugal Space correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request Portugal Space to complete information you believe is incomplete.

The right to erasure – You have the right to request that Portugal Space erase your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that Portugal Space restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to Portugal Space’s processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to data portability – You have the right to request that Portugal Space transfer the data that we have collected on you to another organisation, or directly to you, under certain conditions.

The Portugal Space Web Portal

The Web Portal of Portugal Space presents news, information and the latest imagery and videos on Portugal Space activities to a broad spectrum of people interested in space and space activities.
The Web Portal offers the general public the possibility to learn all about Portugal Space and our activities.  It also serves as a channel to link visitors to Portugal Space’s more specialised scientific and technical sites, which are of interest to various space-related communities. 

Access to, and use of, the Portugal Space website constitutes acceptance of the following general terms and conditions. 

Neither Portugal Space nor any other party involved in creating, producing or delivering the website shall be liable for any direct, incidental, consequential, indirect or punitive damages arising out of Users’ access to, or use of, the website. The Web Portal does not guarantee the accuracy of information provided by external sources and accepts no responsibility or liability for any consequences arising from the use of such data.

Further, users acknowledge that chats, postings, conferences and any other form of communication by other users are not endorsed by Portugal Space, and that such communications shall not be considered as having been reviewed, screened or approved by Portugal Space. 

Portugal Space encourages parents or guardians to stay with children under 13 when the children are online and to participate in any interactive activities offered on the website. ESA will not process any personal data of a child under 13 without the previous consent of a parent, guardian, teacher or other person exercising control of the child. No personal data or information will be used for promotional or marketing purposes. 

The contents of the Portugal Space Web Portal are intended for the personal and non-commercial use of its users. Portugal Space grants permission to users to visit the site, and to download and copy information, images, documents and materials from the website for users’ personal non-commercial use. Portugal Space does not grant the right to resell or redistribute any information, documents, images or material from its website or to compile or create derivative works from material on its website.
