Michela Corvino

Michela Corvino, is an Earth Observation Security Applications Engineer in the Data Application Division, Science, Applications and Climate Department at ESA, working on defining and implementing innovative actions to expand the uptake and use of EO data, involving stakeholders in environment, law enforcement and security domains, and to support EO industries and research centres with their innovation strategies. Before joining ESA, Michela was a Copernicus Earth Observation Data Officer with the European Maritime Safety Agency. In previous assignments within Industry, she led several activities in security research, and worked on set up and provision of EO operational services, such as Copernicus Emergency and Security Services. Michela has an academic and professional background in Earth Observation, Synthetic Aperture Radar, EO Processing Chain Development, Product Development.
